How to get high affinity antibody?
Anit [1.1K]

Human monoclonal antibody (mAbs) are emerging in the field of cancer therapy and have become an increasing proportion of new drugs that are recently approved. Although there are some methods to obtain antigen-specific mAbs from human B cells, it is generally impossible to directly immunize human beings with antigens of interest. For example, for infectious agents, those approaches are largely restricted. To solve these obstacles, two main approaches have been developed; either by humanizing antigen-specific antibodies from small experimental animals (which is laborious due to the great genetic differences from humans) or rely on the in vitro selection of antigen-specific binders from human antibody repertoires. However, the human mAbs developed by these methods are usually with low affinity.

We are now coming up with a much better idea that is humanizing non-human primates mAbs instead of murine mAbs. Due to the close genetic relationship with humans, immunized NHPs have more potential to be isolated with high affinity antibody to human target than other experimental species, such as mouse, rat and rabbit. In addition, with appropriate method, NHP antibodies are much easier to be humanized without any loss of affinity compared to widely used murine antibodies.

What gametes are produced by the following organisms:_______.
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

The correct answer would be -

1- YR, Yr, yR and yr.

2. Yr, yR

3. YR, yr

4. YR, Yr, yR & yr

Explanation:

A mature male or female haploid germ cell that fuses with another gamete of the opposite sex during the process of fertilization to make a zygote in sexual reproduction.

The law of Independent Assortment presented by Mendel says that alleles for different traits are passed and assort independently of one another in the gametes.

1. If Y and R on different chromosomes then they will produce four gametes and assort independently - YR, Yr, yR & yr.

2) If Y and R on the same chromosomes and no crossing over occurs then they will produce only two gametes as Y and R will not come together - Yr & yR.

3). if dominant Y and recessive r are on the same chromosome, no crossing over then only two gametes will form as Y and r will not assort together - YR & yr.

4). if dominant Y and R are on the same chromosome, 50% crossing over produces 4 types of gametes, YR, Yr, yR & yr.

4. A soda can has a volume of 0.35 liters and before opened its internal pressure is 30 psi. What
777dan777 [17]

The volume of the gas expansion is 0.71 liters.

Boyle's law

Boyle's law states that the volume of a given mass of a gas is inversely proportional to its pressure provided that temperature remains constant.

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

where;

 • P₁ = 30 psi
 • V₁ = 0.35 liters
 • P₂ = 1 atm = 14.7 psi

The volume of the gas expansion is calculated as follows;

V_2 = \frac{P_1 V_1}{P_2} \\\\V_2 = \frac{30 \times 0.35}{14.7} \\\\V_2 = 0.71 \ Liters
