If Quadrilateral Q is a scaled copy of Quadrilateral P created with a scale factor of 3
Stolb23 [73]
I don't see a drawing of the quadrilaterals, so I don't know what the perimeter of quadrilateral P is. But whatever the perimeter of P is, Q will be 1/3 of that. Perimeter is a length, so even though it may pertain to a 2-dimensional object, it is still a 1-dimensional, linear measure. When two objects are similar (same shape, but scaled up or down by a scale factor), all corresponding linear measures have the same scale factor.

If you were asked about area or volume, that would be a different matter. In the case of area, you would square the scale factor, and in the case of volume, you would cube the scale factor.

Can some one please help me to teach this to my daughter
EastWind [94]
28mi/1 hr = 28 mi/60 min = 1 mi/(60/28) min =

28 mi/hr = 28 mi/60 min since there are 60 min in 1 hr
1 mi/(60/28) min since you divide top and bottom of 28/60 by 28 to get
1 mi/(60/28) min = 1mi/(15/7) min = 1 mi/ 2 1/7 min

zheka24 [161]

Actually, the domain is the possible set of input values of a function that will make the function fit the specific criteria. In this case, the input value is m, where m is the number of miles that is travelled. The criteria is to travel at least 10 miles but not more than 30 miles, therefore the domain should be:

All real numbers from 10 to 30, inclusive

(should be real numbers not integer since any fractional number is included in the domain)

I cannot figure out why the choices are far from the answer.

What is the mass of a copper (II) chloride sample if it contains 0.0344 moles of the compound?
ale4655 [162]

According to the valence number of copper(2+) and the same value for chlorine (1-) copper (II) chloride has the formula of CuCl2

The molar mass of copper is 0,0635 kg/mole and chlorine gas a molar mass of 0,035 kg/mole the compound will have a molar mass of ( 0,0635+2×0,035 )kg/mole=0,099kg/mole and 0,344 moles are equivalent in mass to 0,344×0,135 kg=0,046 kg
