Research data indicate that certain types of community policing efforts, such as _______, appear to reduce crime and delinquency
mestny [16]

Research data indicate that certain types of community policing efforts, such as problem-oriented policing (POP), appear to reduce crime and delinquency under some conditions.

In locations with relatively high levels of crime, problem-oriented policing (POP) entails identifying and resolving issues that raise the risk of crime. POP is difficult since authorities must identify and address issues that could pertain to a variety of issues that contribute to crime.

A department-wide approach to policing that aims to address enduring neighborhood issues is called problem-oriented policing. It differs from COP, according to MacDonald, in that it places more emphasis on solving specific criminal issues and reducing crime than it does on policing techniques.

Overall, the evidence points to a decrease in general offending due to POP. The meta-analysis discovered that POP had a minor but statistically significant impact on crime and disorder compared to no intervention or business-as-usual policing.

Finally, write a half-page essay discussing how you think China's one-child policy has affected the country's economic developme
Nataly_w [17]

Answer:

The one-child policy was the population control policy in force in the People's Republic of China from 1979 to 2015, whereby each couple was only allowed to have one child; having a second child was punishable. The aim of this policy was to slow down population growth.

The economic and social consequences of the Chinese one-child policy could severely limit the Chinese economy and society, partly because of the rapidly increasing aging population as a result of this policy. That is why the one-child policy was increasingly abandoned. For example, two out of three Chinese families were later allowed to have two children.

However, it had positive effects in terms of maintaining the country's natural resources, as it somewhat curbed their massive consumption.

In India, another country with 1 billion inhabitants, a two-child policy was pursued, but due to the high illiteracy, little has happened.
