Let (a) be the first cat
let (b) be the second cat
a +b=11kg-----(1)
a=b+1500g⇒(1.5 kg)-------(2)
so now u have a system of two unknowns
a=11-b
substitute a in (2)
11-b=b+1.5
11-1.5=2b
2b=9.5
b=9.5/2=4.75
subs. b in (1)
a+b=11
a+4.75=11
a=11-4.75=6.25
so cat (a) is 6.25 kg
and (b) is 4.75 kg
hope I helped

A gas pump fills 2^-2 gallon of gasoline per second. how many gallons does the pump fill in one minute?
astraxan [27]

Answer:

The gas pump filling the gallons in 1 minute will be: 15

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Given that a gas pump fills 2^-2 gallon of gasoline per second.

As there are 60 seconds in 1 minute.

Thus,

Gas pump filling the gallons in 1 minute will be:

60\:\times 2^{-2}

=60\times \frac{1}{2^2}             ∵ a^{-b}=\frac{1}{a^b}

\mathrm{Multiply\:fractions}:\quad \:a\times \frac{b}{c}=\frac{a\:\times \:b}{c}

=\frac{1\times \:60}{2^2}

=\frac{60}{2^2}

=\frac{2^2\times \:3\times \:5}{2^2}

=3\times \:5

=15 gallons in one minute

Therefore, the gas pump filling the gallons in 1 minute will be: 15

harina [27]

Answer:

m∡ZA = 51°

m∡ZB = 39°

Step-by-step explanation:

∡ZB = 'b'

∡ZA = '12 + b'

b + 12 + b = 90

2b + 12 = 90

2b = 78

b = 39

12 + 39 = 51
