calculate m using the gradient formula

m = (y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (0, 3) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (- 4, - 3)

m = $\frac{-3-3}{-4-0}$ = $\frac{-6}{-4}$ = $\frac{3}{2}$

since the y-intercept is (0,3 ) then c = 3

y = $\frac{3}{2}$ x + 3 is the equation of the line
