If your looking for some sort of definition,(my point of view of a consumer math definition) it basically is a field in math where you can learn and practice math techniques used in everyday life.Where you can learn to budget,buying a car,the basics.So in a way kinda like Finance.

And a portfolio in math means like a students collection of achievements,efforts,progress and most likely containing information related to math.
