She can tip 90 waiters from her 90.00 tip.

5.00 / 5 waiters = 90.00 / x
5.00x = 90.00 (5)
5.00x = 450
5.00x / 5.00 = 450 / 5.00
x = 90 waiters.

or 5.00 to 5 waiters is equal to 1.00 for every waiter. thus, a $90.00 tip can tip 90 waiters for $1.00 each.

$90.00* (5 waiters/ $5.00)= 90 waiters.
(The unit- $- cancels out)

The final answer is 90 waiters~

At noon, ship A is 130 km west of ship B. Ship A is sailing east at 30 km/h and ship B is sailing north at 20 km/h. How fast is
Sergeeva-Olga [200]

Answer:

36.1 km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

rate at which the distance is changing is given by relative velocity(vR)

Look at the diagram. THe diagram shows relative motion. From relative motion diagram, velocity vector diagram is drawn.

From velocity vector diagram, it can be seen that relative velocity or vR can be calculated using pythagoras theorem.

vR²= vA² + vB²

vR²= 30²+ 20²

vR= 36.1 km/h

Answer:

CD = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

I believe you know the geometric mean for altitudes?

CD = √AD * DB = √8 * 2 = √16 = 4

If you are not aware of this theorem, then use the similarity of triangles.

ADC ~ CDB

AD/DC = CD/DB (cross-multiply)

CD^2 = AD*DB,

CD = √AD * DB = √8 * 2 = √16 = 4

One base of an isosceles trapezoid is 12 and the other is 20. What is the length of the midsegment?
mr_godi [17]
The length of the midsegment of an isosceles trapezoid is the sum of the two bases, divided by 2. So this means -

(base 1+base2) / 2

(12+20) / 2

32/2

Length of midsegment = 16
