Select the correct answer. In what way is the theme in this excerpt from "The Lady of Shalott" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson similar

to the theme of the poem "Ulysses"? Down she came and found a boat Beneath a willow left afloat, And round about the prow she wrote The Lady of Shalott. And down the river's dim expanse Like some bold seër in a trance, Seeing all his own mischance-- With a glassy countenance Did she look to Camelot. And at the closing of the day She loosed the chain, and down she lay; The broad stream bore her far away, The Lady of Shalott.

what specific challenges did the south vietnamese face as they tried to flee vietnam? cite your strongest evidence to explain yo
svet-max [94.6K]

At the final moments, and the subsequent end, of the Vietnam War, the South Vietnamese tried to flee Vietnam and get asylum in neighboring countries and the US (the North Vietnamese forces had won the conflict).

They've faced many problems when fleeing the country due to many reasons, including the local climate, diseases, and the region's geography. Many perished trying to scape, while others died due to ambushes and traps made by the North (during and after the war to attack American soldiers or traitors/opponents of the North Vietnamese regime).

*Write a brief analysis of the metaphor, three hundred years of slavery and its results:
andriy [413]

<u>Explanation:</u>

<em>Remember, </em>a metaphor is a figure of speech that makes a comparison between two things that not related as though they are in other to give a description. We can infer from those words that the author has a negative view of the impact of slavery on human society.

The metaphor<em> "blanket of ignorance"</em> depicts a situation just as when one covers a "blanket of cotton" to prevent the body from exposure; similarly the "blanket of ignorance" has covered the minds of individuals from reaching their full potential. In a sense, ignorance has now become the order of the day after "three hundred years of slavery."
