3.4 divided by 0.4

Because a decimal can not be outside the box (the division house), you bring the decimal to the right and do the same for the number inside the box. It would turn 0.4 into 4 and 3.4 into 34. (That's a decimal point not a period). Now, align the decimals with the above quotient too. After doing the division steps, you get 8.5 glasses. So, it takes 8.5 0.4-liter glasses to fill up a 3.4-liter pitcher. Hope this helped!  Follow me on ig: thats.nicolle

To get the result we just have to divide 3.4 liter by 0.4 liter.
3.4:0.4=8.5 - its our result.
To better undestand lets think that u have 4 piece of cake and 2 person. To know how much u can give each person u have to divide 4 piece by 2 person. Its similar situation here.

PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!! REALLY IMPORTANT
faust18 [17]

<u>Answer-</u>

<em>The height of the prism is</em><em> 6 units</em>

<u>Solution-</u>

As the base of the prism is a hexagon consisting of 2 congruent isosceles trapezoids.

So,

V_{Prism}=Area_{Base}\times Height

And,

Area_{Base}=2\times \text{Area of the trapezoid}

Also,

\text{Area of the trapezoid}=\dfrac{1}{2}\times \text{Height}\times (\text{Sum of two parallel lines})

=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 3\times (5+8)\\\\=\dfrac{39}{2}

Putting all the values,

V_{Prism}=2\times \dfrac{39}{2}\times Height=39\times Height

As the volume is given, so

\Rightarrow 39\times Height=234

\Rightarrow Height=\dfrac{234}{39}=6
