He could buy 4 apples with 6.00$

6 ÷ 1.25 = 4.80

To check your work do

4.80 apples × 1.25$ = 6 $, but you cannot buy 4.80 apples so round down to...

4 apples × 1.25$ each = 5 dollars

He would have 1 dollar left over/extra

So you can set this problem up like 6+ 1.25x because Christian has $6 in his wallet that is the total so we can leave it so far by itself without a variable. Now on the other hand, the apples Christian wants to buy is $1.25 per apple it is x because if it is more than 1 that is each so in math we represent it with a variable of just x . Hoped that helped :)

How do you know if an equation has no solution or infinite solutions
shutvik [7]

Answer:

If an equation has no solution, then it means it can't be solved.

If an equation has infinite solutions, it means that the answers are too large to be defined.

Step-by-step explanation:

An equation has no solution if for instance there is an error in that equation.

An equation has infinite solutions or undefined answers if for instance a number is divided by zero.

What is the equation of a line with a slope of −4 and a point (−2, 5) on the line? Express the equation in the form
Alja [10]

Answer:

y = - 4x - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + b ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Here m = - 4, thus

y = - 4x + b ← is the partial equation

To find b substitute (- 2, 5) into the partial equation

5 = 8 + b ⇒ b = 5 - 8 = - 3

y = - 4x - 3 ← equation of line
