Answer:

a. drop the attack packet(s)

Explanation:

An IPS not only detects and alerts system administrators but it also stops attacks. It is built to consistently monitor a network, report malicious incidents and take preventative actions. So, how does an IPS work exactly? An IPS does a deep packet inspection and either blocks the IP of whoever sent the malicious packet or removes the malicious packet's content and repackages its payloads. Thus, this means that the malicious packet is completely dropped by stripping off of its header information and any infected items in the packet.

What does c++ programming mean?
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

It's an internal joke to say the language is basically C with some extra stuff (like classes)

the "++" is short for

C += 1 or

C = C + 1 which is a common calculation among programmers so they named it C++ to be a more commercial and attractive name than "C with classes"

Vivian wants to increase the storage capacity of her computer. Which components should she upgrade?
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

Hard drive

Explanation:

The hard drive is where the operating system, programs and data reside on (unless the data is saved and backed up elsewhere). An older hard drive that uses platters for reading and writing data to it will be slower than a later model solid state device. Newer hard drives have very fast access speeds compared to older units.
