Matrix Metalloproteases (MMPs) are a part of metalloproteinase enzymes family playing an vital part in healing wounds such as physiological or pathological processes and even in morphogenesis, reproduction, embryonic development, tissue remodeling, arthritis, cancer and cardiovascular disease.
