Solve this system of linear equations. separate the x - and y values with a comma. 6x+5y = 4

4 0

Answer:

x = - 1, y = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the 2 equations

6x + 5y = 4 → (1)

19x + 2y = - 15 → (2)

Multiplying (1) by 2 and (2) by - 5 and adding will eliminate the term in y

12x + 10y = 8 → (3)

- 95x - 10y = 75 → (4)

Add (3) and (4) term by term thus eliminating y

- 83x = 83 ( divide both sides by - 83 )

x = - 1

Substitute x = - 1 into either of the 2 equations and evaluate for y

Substituting into (1)

6(- 1) + 5y = 4

- 6 + 5y = 4 ( add 6 to both sides )

5y = 10 ( divide both sides by 5 )

y = 2

Бу – 8 = 2(3y – 4)<br> Is it no solution if it’s not what’s the answer
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

All real numbers.

Step-by-step explanation:

So we have the equation:

6y-8=2(3y-4)

First, distribute the right side:

6y-8=6y-8

As we can see, both expressions on both sides of the equation are the exact same. In other words, every value of y will make the equation true. Thus, the answer is all real numbers.

Y = x
so
y = 2y + 1
2y - y = -1
y = -1
x = y = -1
answer
(-1, -1) is the solution
--------
3x+ 2y = -1
x  -  2y = 11 so x = 2y + 11
substitute x = 2y + 11 into 3x+ 2y = -1

3x+ 2y = -1
3(2y + 11)+ 2y = -1
6y + 33 + 2y = -1
8y = -34
   y = - 17/4
x = 2y + 11
x = 2(-17/4) + 11
x = -17/2 + 11
x = 5/2

my answer is (5/2, -17/4)

I don't see any matching above

What is the value of y when x=2y +4
Natalka [10]

Answer:

y = x/2 + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

x = 2y + 4

divide 2 + 4 on both sides in order to isolate y by its self.

x/2 + 4 = 2y + 4/2 + 4

x/2 + 4 = y

y = x/2 + 4
