How are you in the bet nobody’s not going to help me on this question
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

See below.

Step-by-step explanation:

Party A

y = x^2 + 1

For each value of x in the table, substitute x in the equation with that value and evaluate y.

x = -2: y = (-2)^2 + 1 = 4 + 1 = 5

x = -1: y = (-1)^2 + 1 = 1 + 1 = 2

Do the same for x = 0, x = 1, x = 2

x     y

-2   5

-1    2

0    1

1     2

2    5

Part B

Look at points (-2, 5) and (-1, 2). The change in x from (-2, 5) to (-1, 2) is 1. The change in y is -3.

Now let's look at two other points which have a change in x of 1. Look at points (0, 1) and (1, 2). The change in x from (0, 1) to (1, 2) is 1. The change in y is 1.

You can see that for the first two points, a change of 1 in x produces a change of -3 in y, but for the second two points, the same change of 1 in x produce a change of 1 in y. Since the same change of x does not always produce the same change in y, the function is nonlinear.

In a recent poll, 44% of survey respondents said that, if they only had one child, they would prefer the child to be a boy.
viva [34]

Answer:

a) The probability that 71 of 150 will prefer boy child is 71/150 or 0.47

b) The result contradicts the poll actual percentage is 47.33% which is 3.33% more than the poll predicted

Step-by-step explanation:

If 71 out of 150 prefer boy child

The probability that the 71 will prefer boy child is

= 71/150

The actual percentage is

(71/150)*100%

= 47.33%

This contradicts the poll as this is more than the poll predicted. That means Less than 71 of 150 actually preferred boy child.

How would I get this information into Y=Mx+B
andriy [413]
One question at a time, please.  I will focus on #16 and ignore #18.

slope:  3/4              line passes thru (-8,2)

Write out    y = mx + b.  Subst. 2 for y.  Subst. -8 for x  Subst. (3/4) for m:

2 = (3/4)(-8) + b.  Find b.           2 = -6 + b    =>           b = 8

So your equation is y = (3/4)x + 8.  Please, use (  ) around those fractions!

Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

Follows are the solution to this question:

Step-by-step explanation:

Following are the differential equation:

\to P(C,S)t+1 = P(C,S)t+(- 0.06Ct +0.04St, 0.06Ct - 0.04St ) \ \ \ \\\\or \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \\\\ \to (0.94Ct + 0.04St, 0.96St + 0.06Ct)

In equation:

\to t = 0, \ as \ 2019\\\\\to Ct = 10,000,000  \\\\\to St = 800,000,000\\

\to P(C, S)1 = (0.94Ct + 0.04St, 0.96St + 0.06Ct) \\\\

                   = (0.94(10000000) + 0.04(800000), 0.96(800000) + 0.06(10000000))\\\\ = (9,400,000 + 32,000), (768,000 +6000000))\\\\ = (9432000, 1368000)

\to P(C, S)2 = (0.94(9432000) + 0.04(1368000), 0.96(1368000) + 0.06(9432000))

                  =(8,866,080 + 54,720), (1,313,280 + 565,920)\\\\=(8,920,800, 1,879,200)
