Describe how single member districts discourage minor parties

History

The existence of single-member districts discourages the creation of minor parties because the party that receives the most votes secures the office. In other words, the winner gets everything, and other parties have nothing to show for their efforts. If, by way of illustration, the Green Party fielded candidates in all 435 House races and received 20 percent of the vote in each district, it would not win any seats at all. In a system with proportional representation, seats in the legislature are allocated according to the party's share of the popular vote. Thus, minor parties are rewarded for fielding candidates in elections because their efforts result in at least a modicum of representation in the legislative branch.

What is one of the following problems that may have a result from a direct democracy
love history [14]

Answer:

direct democracy

Issues and controversies

Discussions on direct-democratic institutions deal with several issues. The strongest normative grounds for direct democracy are the democratic principles of popular sovereignty, political equality, and all the arguments for participative democracy that support the idea that all citizens should have the right not only to elect representatives but also to vote on policy issues in referenda. Since assembly democracy cannot be an option in modern societies (outside Switzerland), direct-democratic institutions are regarded not as a full-scale alternative to representative democracy but as a supplement to or counterweight within democratic systems with major representative features. Nevertheless, the institutional difference and competition between representative and direct-democratic processes lie at the core of the controversy whether direct democracy contributes to undermining representative democracy or can offer enrichments of democracy.

He is Robert Prentiss Daniel. Daniel reasons that in spite of the distinctive courses Black youth take in accomplishing advanced education, their achievement in life is reliant on a person's capacity to influence their lives "to mean great." He accuses Black foundations of being capable of dealing with a country and the world that is always showing signs of change and work to exceed expectations in all scholastic fields.
