For this, plug in 4 into the x placeholder to solve:

f(4)=2*4^2+4*2-7\\ f(4)=2*16+8-7\\ f(4)=32+8-7\\ f(4)=33

<u>In short, f(4) = 33.</u>

The sum of two numbers is 61 and the difference is 3 what are the numbers
madam [21]

Answer:

<h3>29 and 32</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x = number

Let y = second number

We know that there are two true equations from this. Here is shown below the equations.

x + y = 61

x + 3  = y

We could use the substitution method for finding the numbers. After that, we continue on to solve to find the first number.

x + (x+3) = 61

2x + 3 = 61

2x = 58

2x/2 = 58/2

x = 29

Now that we know that the first number is 29, plug it in to the second equation to find the second number.

x + 3 = y

29 + 3 = y

y = 32

Proof that these numbers are the correct answer:

32 + 29 = 61

61 = 61 (Which is true!)

To support me, please give me the brainliest answer. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What is one solution to the system of equations graphed here?
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

(-2, 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

There are two solutions for this system, which can be found by looking at the intersections of the two graphs.

The first intersection is at point (-2, 4), and the second one is at point (4, -3).

Since the second option is not a given option, it is the last option (-2, 4).

How to do probibility
Crazy boy [7]
From what I remember, hear is an example cuz idk how to really explain... there are 3 yellow cubes, 4 green, and 2 blue cubes all in one bag. You add the total number of cubes (3+4+2=9) let’s say I want to know what is the probability of grabbing a yellow cube. There is a total of 3 yellow cubes in the bag so just put that over 9 in a fraction (3/9) so that would be your fraction probability and if you want a percentage you just divide the numerator (3) by the denominator (9) which would be .33 so there is a 33% chance of grabbing a yellow cube. I’m so sorry if this didn’t help x-x

Find the distance between the two points 5,6 and 0,-6. Show your work
valkas [14]

Answer:

The distance between two points is √169 or 13.

Step-by-step explanation:

In the question we need to find the distance between two points 5,6 and 0,-6 given.

Distance between two points can be found using the formula:

d(P1,P2) = \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^2 + (y_{2}-y_{1})^2}

Putting the given points in the formula we get,

x₂ = 0, x₁ = 5, y₂= -6, y₁= 6

=\sqrt{(0-(5))^2 + (-6-(6))^2} \\=\sqrt{(0-5)^2 + (-6-6)^2}\\=\sqrt{(-5)^2 + (-12)^2}\\=\sqrt{25 + 144}\\=\sqrt{169}\\=13

So, the distance between two points is √169 or 13.
