The site www.georgiaencyclopedia.org states that The Trustees asked the House of Commons to replace the Act of 1735 with one that would permit slavery in Georgia as of January 1, 1751. This means that slavery was allowed since then. It ended in December 18, 1865. So yes. It did allow slavery in 1861

How did Brahmanism evolve into Hinduism
shtirl [24]
The answer -

Brahmanism is the religion of the Vedic period. Also known as Vedism or Vedic Brahmanism is the historical predecessor of Hinduism.

Its liturgy is reflected in the Mantra portion of the four Vedas, which are compiled in Sanskrit. The religious practices centered on a clergy administering rites that often involved sacrifices. This mode of worship is largely unchanged today within Hinduism; however, only a small fraction of conservative Shrautins continue the tradition of oral recitation of hymns learned solely through the oral tradition.

Elements of Vedic religion reach back into Proto-Indo-European times. The Vedic period is held to have ended around 500 BC, Vedic religion gradually metamorphosizing into the various schools of Hinduism, which further evolved into Puranic Hinduism. Vedic religion also influenced Buddhism and Jainism.

Vedic religion was gradually formalized and concluded into Vedanta, which is the primary institution of Hinduism. Vedanta considers itself the 'essence' of the Vedas. The Vedic pantheon was interpreted by a unitary view of the universe with Brahman seen as immanent and transcendent, since the Middle Upanishads also in personal forms of the deity as Ishvara, Bhagavan, or Paramatma. There are also conservative schools which continue portions of the historical Vedic religion largely unchanged until today.

During the formative centuries of Vedanta, traditions that opposed Vedanta and which supported the same, emerged. These were the nastika and astika respectively.

Hinduism is an umbrella term for astika traditions in India.
- Puranas, Sanskrit epics
- the classical schools of Hindu philosophy, of which only Vedanta is extant.
- Shaivism
- Vaishnavism
- Bhakti
- Shrauta traditions, maintaining much of the original form of the Vedic religion.

Vedic Brahmanism of Iron Age India co-existed and closely interacted with the non-Vedic (nastika) Shramana traditions. These were not direct outgrowths of Vedism, but separate movements influenced by Brahmanical traditions.

Why should we have open immigration?
swat32

Answer:

Because immigration is a natural process and a policy of open immigration avoid many of the problems, costs and negatives effects of illegal immigration.

Explanation:

In a country with open immigration people will not use of fraud to get inside the country or to get work, that way the state doesn’t need to spend so much money in securing borders or investigating frauds and illegal workers.

With open immigration the immigrants are able to participate in the economy and pay taxes as other citizens, these increase the states income and the opportunity for investors, if they are illegal they can’t open a legal business, as happened in past with the Chinese’s for many years in US. Or they won’t need social welfare because they can have an income, that way they don’t have to be under the state’s support or be in custody in prisons.

They can also respond to law and have some responsibilities as other citizens without having all the native’s rights, this creates a more equal situation than when they are illegally immigrating.

Aleks [24]

Answer:

Deductive Reasoning

Explanation:

The given condition is an example of deductive reasoning. Two arguments are related that bring a valid conclusion given the conditions hold true to both.

Deductive Reasoning: Process of making logical arguments by facts and logic.

Deduction:

Condition 1--- Jason can run 100 meter in 15 seconds

Condition 2--- Sarah is faster at racing any distance

Conclusion--- Sarah can run 100 meter in less than 15 seconds

Reason: Since Sarah is faster than Jason in any race therefore she can win run faster than him at any given condition. Jason runs 100 meter in 15 seconds which means Sarah can run the same distance in less than 15 seconds as she is faster than him.
