The four disease management areas to review with the client are heart abnormalities, growth of cyst in the liver, pregnancy complications and elevated high blood pressure.

Usually, person with polycystic kidney disease develop mitral valve prolapse that allows blood to leak backward and this is the cause of heart abnormalities. Next, there will be an increase of chance of developing liver cysts with an increase of age where women usually have a larger cysts.

Moreover, a high blood pressure called preeclampsia is the risk to experience for pregnant women and to those patient who have polycystic kidney disease, which could cause stroke and further damage in the kidney .
