That is a mental illness where someone will go from one extreme to another. Like one moment they’ll be the happiest person every then they’ll be super depressed. This is a very dangerous disease because some people become self destructive. There are medications that treat this illness and you can also go to a therapist. Or you can just simply talk to someone about it if you are uncomfortable with the other two options.

An alcohol relapse is when people start reverting back to old drinking habits and stops maintaining goals to reduce use of alcohol.
