You're the manager of a factory that produces enzyme-washed blue jeans (the enzymes lighten the color of the denim, giving a "fa

ded" appearance). When the most recent batch of fabric came out of the enzyme wash, however, the color wasn't light enough to meet your standards. Your quality control laboratory wants to do some tests to determine why the wash enzymes didn't perform as expected.
If you could design a modified version of the enzyme to ensure that it would function optimally in the harsh conditions of the washing vat (such as high temperature or high pH), which of the following could you do to achieve this goal?

Answer:

Change the enzyme tolerance

Explanation:

Using enzymes in manufacturing is a very effective way to achieve many of the results that we desire. However, there are a number of conditions that must be taken into consideration when using this medium. Since enzymes require specific conditions to function; this is the limitation of using enzyme in manufacturing.

If you as the manufacturer finds that there are issues in the efficiency there are practical steps that can be takes with the current scientific advancements.

  1. Introduce a mutation: This should be one that changes the enzyme tertiary structure enough for it to tolerate a flux in conditions but does not interfere with production efficiency or cost of production.
  2. Slowly change conditions and allow evolution: This is in the case that the enzyme is produced on-site and the manipulation of the tertiary structure is a bit difficult. In organisms such as yeast or e. coli, this is practical and attainable albeit time consuming.

Finally, harnessing and manipulating the enzyme structure and function is an incredible advantage in manufacturing and options are available to optimize production.

What adaptations allow deep sea creatures to survive in extreme environments essay?
hichkok12 [17]
The deep sea vent organisms or benthic organisms normally live in dark conditions because of no penetration of sunlight. These organisms in order to colonize ocean surface must develop photo sensory receptors and should adapt to the light conditions along with variation in temperatures and pressure in ocean currents.

What are the chances that a kitten born would have a DIFFERENT genotype than the sister's cat Moo?
Strike441 [17]

A kitten born will have genotype different from sister because the concentration of gene expressed is different in all kittens as it is a phenomenon of codominance.

Explanation:

The moo cat is black and white bicolour cat.

The cat has white colour fur which is combined with some other colour as black.

White colour in cat has white spotting gene that prevents the patches over cat's body.

SS genotype results in large concentration of white colour.

Ss results in medium concentration of white colour.

ss results in black or other dark colurs with very meager or no white colour on skin.

The resultant colour appearance of skin in cats is due to codominance. The colour of the skin depends on the concentration of gene and protein expressed. So, the sister moo cats can have diffrent genotype and different level of white colour patches on the skin and genotype of SS,Ss or ss can be there in sister kittens.

I am a white bread I am but inside my fellow human and chewed in the mouth and breaks down my carbohydrates and then I become a boules then I am swallowed through the esophagus which pushes me to the stomach which then I digest into chyme and then the stomach secrets it’s juices to break down the protein then I’m pushed to the small intestine dejunume where liver secretes bile to gallbladder then gallbladder secretes it and stores it. Also the pancreas secretes also enzymes to break it down. Then intestine justices break me down then I am sucked up of my nutrients and put into cells and then my remains go to large intestine where water and minerals are absorbed and then I’m sent to the rectum then anus to land in a toilet water to take on a new journey. :) hope this helps so how
