Read the excerpt from Abraham Lincoln Second Inaugural Address March 4, 1865 President Lincoln gave his second inaugural address
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

C) They give the paragraph an intense and foreboding tone

Explanation:

The words give the paragraph an intense and foreboding tone because it shows the author's strong feelings about a war that he would have preferred to avoid four years ago, that everyone dreaded and that represented a coming evil because it sought to destroy the Union as well as the peace and lives of many.

Which statement best describes the difference between a monologue and a soliloquy?
kari74 [83]
He difference between a monologue and a soliloquy is in the fact that in a monologue, the speaker is addressing an audience, whereas in a soliloquy, the author is just thinking out loud, as it his intended for himself. This is used so that the audience can better understand the internal struggles of the character.

My Poem:

Weather In Oregon

Rain pours profoundly, puddles begin to form

Splish* splash* splish* the waterfalls

But soon, sun shines drying it all

As the sun comes out flowers dry

The children cry cause’ wet will wither

But in Oregon, the weather will always differ

So sun halts, hail header’s

It goes thump* thump* thump*

Then lightning hits with a boom and a bang

It all goes quiet and it starts to rain

But it’s soft soundless sweet

So the plants grow until the rain subsides.
