Alrighty so what it is asking you to do is to simply make variables. Let me break this down in an easier way for you. A variable is mainly just a fancy word that they use, it pretty much means a nickname how I use it. So for number fifteen in your work, we can simplify Monica into M to make it easier so:

S = Monica’s Sister
M = Monica
M = S+3
S = M-3

So what I did there is that I know that Monica is three inches taller than her sister so we know that her sister plus three inches would equal to her height.

And now for number fifteen in your work, I think it’s just asking to find the second one which it gives you

S = 2e - 3
But the second one would be
E = .5s + 1.5

A cone with a radius 2 units is shown below. Its volume is 29 cubic units. Find the height of the cone
rusak2 [61]

Answer:

The height of the cone is 6.9\ units

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The volume of the cone is equal to

V=\frac{1}{3}Bh

where

B is the area of the circular base of the cone

h is the height of the cone

In this problem we have

V=29\ units^{3}

r=2\ units

<em>Find the area of the base B</em>

B=\pi r^{2}

substitute the value of r

B=\pi (2)^{2}=4 \pi\ units^{2}

<em>Find the height of the cone</em>

29=\frac{1}{3}(4 \pi)h

h=29*3/(4 \pi)

assume \pi=3.14

h=29*3/(4*3.14)=6.9\ units

Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

1 solution

(3, 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

The pair of equations for lines A and B have 1 solution because there is one point of intersection.

The point of intersection is (3, 4), therefore this is the solution.
