1- The crust is deepest in areas with mountains.
2-Both the continental and oceanic crusts are bonded to the mantle to form a layer known as the lithosphere, causing volcanoes and earthquakes.
3-The continental crust can range from 25km thick at the edges to 70km thick near the center
4-The oceanic crust is only about 7km thick and considerably more dense.
