To be able to be a good problem solver, an individual need to showcase certain skills and behaviors. You should be able to define your problem well, thus ensuring that the solutions that you come up with are well-targeted and suitable to the actual problem at hand. Observing your thoughts and emotions would also come in handy to ensure that you are not influenced by your own biased when solving the problem.

However, (C) procrastinating is a behavior that you should strive to avoid since it would not aid you in problem-solving.

I would say that all of the following are steps to help you be a good problem solver except B and C. You need to define the problem and then set about creating solutions. For example, if it is becoming too expensive to haul ore out of an open pit because it its too deep so the haulage costs are prohibitive, then a  potential solution involves decreasing haulage costs by shortening the haul which can be resolved by extending in pit conveyors and crusher down close to the ore deep within the pit.
