Explanation: The traffic on the road is referring to a physical inconvenience, it’s not the same form of trafficking. Their elders would be a social construct, something they learnt throughout their life- it does not necessarily put them in harms way, therefore they have no rational reason to fear them. While the trafficker does dehumanize them, and that would be a terrifying situation to be in, they are not inflicting the majority of the pain. They are simply transporting the victim to their future abuser. Speaking of abuser, this is who the victim lives under. I’d assume they’d have to follow their abuser’s rules very strictly in order to not have pain inflicted onto them. The trafficker can just dash once the job is done, but the abuser will be with the victim until they can escape, or unfortunately, pass away. The abuser is in absolute control of the other life.
