Answer:

Monique is factoring the expression 4x+16xy Her work is shown below.

Factors of 4 x→: 1, 2, 4, x

Factors of 16 x y:→ 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, x, y

G CF: 4 x

Factored expression: 4 x(0+4 y)→Incorrect

→4 x +16 x y= 4* x + 4 *4* x* y

 = 4* x* (1+4 y)

while writing the factored expression, we have to break the terms into smaller  terms that is into monomials and  then we should take out the common factor between the two terms.

Monique made an error when writing the factored expression.

(1+2i) (2+5i)
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

first multiply 1 with 2+5i then multiply 2i with 2+5i and you will get

2+5i+4i+10i^2

then in the next step add 4i and 5i you will get 9i

in the next step put i^2=-1 and you will get -10

in the last step just substract 2-10 you will get -8 and 9i

and your answer will be -8+9i

Segment AB has point A located at (6, 6). If the distance from A to B is 5 units, which of the following is the coordinate for p
Ierofanga [76]
The choices are (3, 2) (2, 5) (6, 7) and (7, 5). The distance formula given two points is d = square root of [<span>(y2−y1)^2+(x2−x1)^2]. In this case, we try every point in the choices and substitute y1 equal to 6 and x1 equal to 6 as well.  The answer is A from the choices.
</span>d=square root of [(6−2)^2+(6−3)2]
d=square root of [(4)^2+(3)^2] d=square root of [16+9] d=<span>square root of [</span>25]
d=5

Need help with this someone send the answer please i don't understand why there are so many boxes.
Inessa05 [86]

Answer: See the attached image below. I've filled in the table with the proper values.

Row 2: AFB = 36, BFC = 54, EFA = 144

Row 3: AFB = 40, BCF = 50, DFE = 40

=======================================================

Explanation:

angles AFB and BFC add to 90 degrees since they form a right angle.

In row 1, we see that 48+42 = 90

Angles AFB and DFE are congruent since they are vertical angles. For row 1, we have both of these angles equal to 48 degrees.

Also for row 1, we have angles BFC and CFD add to 42+90 = 132, which is exactly the measure of angle BFD. This angle is congruent to angle EFA because they are vertical angles. So that's how angle EFA is 132.

--------------------------

Now onto row 2

We'll use the ideas of row 1 to work our way backwards to fill in the missing items.

We're given DFE is 36 degrees. This must mean that AFB is also 36 degrees. These angles are vertical angles.

Then we'll use the idea that (angleAFB)+(angleBFC) = 90 to find that

angle BFC = 90 - (angle AFB) = 90 - 36 = 54

Lastly for this row, we can say,

angle BFD = (angle BFC) + (angle CFD) = 54 + 90 = 144

angle EFA = angle BFD = 144

To summarize the missing items of row 2, we have...

  • angle AFB = 36
  • angle BFC = 54
  • angle EFA = 144

---------------------------

Now onto row 3. We use the same tricks (more or less) that were used on row 2.

If angle EFA is 140, then so is angle BFD. These are vertical angles.

(angle BFC) + (angle CFD) = angle BFD

(angle BFC) + 90 = 140

angle BFC = 140-90

angle BFC = 50

This in turn lets us say,

(angle AFB) + (angle BFC) = 90

angle AFB = 90 - (angle BFC)

angle AFB = 90 - 50

angle AFB = 40

angle DFE = angle AFB = 40

To summarize the missing pieces we found:

  • angle AFB = 40
  • angle BFC = 50
  • angle DFE = 40

All of the values are filled in the table shown below.

What is the product of [x-(4+13i)][x-(4+13i)]
Luden [163]

Answer:

x^2 - (4+13i)^2

Step-by-step explanation:

This product has the form (a-b)(a+b), which is a 'special product' equal to a^2 - b^2.  Following this pattern, [x-(4+13i)][x-(4+13i)] = x^2 - (4+13i)^2.  The 2nd term could be expanded if desired, but the above result is the most compact one possible.

Question is in picture below
klasskru [66]

Answer:

\frac{y - 18}{x - 1}  =  \frac{23 - 18}{1.5 - 1}  =  \frac{5}{0.5}  = 10 \\ y - 18 = 10(x - 1)  = 10x - 10 \\ y = 10x  + 18 - 10 = 10x + 8 \\  \boxed{f(x) = 10x + 8}

<h2>A. is the right answer.</h2>

hope this helps.
