Malcolm X defended the right of self-preservation, he defended that African Americans had the right to self-defense and if this means violence, he defended it. He said that the American government has been unable or unwilling to protect the lives and property of African Americans and they should protect themselves.  He also said, “tactics based on morality can only succeed when you are dealing with basically moral people or moral system.”

1. Broadway is one of the iconic places in both American history as well as it is the iconic place in contemporary America. The image of a new women began to emerged, one who not only was efficient at housework but one that could have a career. Women got the right to vote and the suffrage movement bloomed. The pace of life led women to liberate themselves through fashion also. Sexual liberation was also prominent during this period.
