The downfall of the Western Han dynasty was mainly due to emperors who neglected their duties and <span> due to political rivalries that occurs in the palaces between eunuchs,the family empress dowager,and the subjects.</span>

Ironically, to protect itself the Chinese opened relations with the
United States when Nixon went to China.
Later on, China though communist started economic reforms that were
capitalists in nature. The USSR later
collapse and Russia became a democratic country and adopted capitalist reforms.
