Answer:

Mass of barium sulfate produced = 35.007 g

Explanation:

Given data:

mass of Ba(OH)₂ = 25.6 g

mass of barium sulfate = ?

Solution:

First of all we will write the balance chemical equation:

Ba(OH)₂  +  H₂SO₄    →    BaSO₄  + 2H₂O

Number of moles of Ba(OH)₂ = mass/molar mass

Number of moles of Ba(OH)₂ = 25.6 g /  171.34 g/mol

Number of moles of Ba(OH)₂ = 0.15 mol

Now we will compare the moles of barium sulfate with barium hydroxide.

      Ba(OH)₂   :      BaSO₄

         1             :         1

      0.15          :        0.15

Mass of Barium sulfate:

Mass = number of moles × molar mass

Mass = 0.15 mol × 233.38 g/mol

Mass = 35.007 g

What numbers should be placed in the boxes from left to right? 3 and 6 2 and 9 6 and 3 9 and 2
siniylev [52]

Answer:

6 and 3

Explanation:

"Juanita begins to factor an expression as shown.

x² + 3x − 18 = (x + _) (x − _)

What numbers should be placed in the boxes from left to right?"

Use AC method to factor.

1 × -18 = -18

Factors of -18 that add up to 3 are +6 and -3.

The factors are x + 6 and x − 3.

If 4.0 mol of NO and 4.0 mol of O2 are combined, how many moles
Masja [62]
4.0

i think it has something to do with molar ratios and finding the limiting reactant

4.0 mol NO * 2 mol NO2/2 mol NO = 4.0 moles of NO2

4.0 mol O2 * 2 mol NO2/1 mol O2 = 8.0 moles of NO2

so the limiting reactant (the reactant that runs out the quickest leaving an excess) is NO

once the limiting reactant is found, we can use that data for that substance to calculate the amount of product

4.0 mol NO * 2 mol NO2/2 mole NO = 4.0 moles of NO2
