Why doesn't the claim that pious actions are actions that are loved by all the gods satisfy Socrates?

Answer:HE BELIEVES THAT IT IS SELF CONTRADICTORY

Explanation: To Socrates to say something is Pious means the gods like it is absurd,he believes what is loved or called Pious by one God can be seen or called impure or unholy by another God meaning the word Pious is relative according to one's perception and understanding of the word. According to Socrates such a statement is self contradictory and can not stand in that circumstance.

loris [4]
I encountered this question before but it had choices. The missing choices of this question are:
A- immigration
B-Natural selection
C- Random mutations
D- Geographic isolation

My answer would be C - RANDOM MUTATIONS.

A. Immigration is not applicable because it states There has been no migration in or out of the population in the last 200 years.

B. Natural selection is not applicable because of it states that the recessive allele frequency has been 0%.

D. Geographic isolation is not applicable because it is not a factor in the increase in the recessive allele frequency.

gizmo_the_mogwai [7]

a. In the prisoners' dilemma game self-interest leads each prisoner to confess. to a breakdown of any agreement that the prisoners might have made before being questioned to an outcome that is not particularly good for either prisoner.

What is prisoners' dilemma game?

The prisoner's dilemma is a common illustration of a game explored in game theory that demonstrates why two logical people could disagree even though it seems to be in their best interests to collaborate.

The possible outcomes:

 • If A and B each betray the other, each of them serves two years in prison
 • If A betrays B but B remains silent, A will be set free and B will serve three years in prison
 • If A remains silent but B betrays A, A will serve three years in prison and B will be set free
 • If A and B both remain silent, both of them will serve one year in prison (on the lesser charge).
