Jim Smiley's Frog

The narrator tells about his encounter with Simon Wheeler who tells him about Jim Smiley. Jim Smiley is a betting man who gets involved in all kinds of betting contests. One of these is a frog jumping competition. Dan'l Webster is Jim Smiley's frog who almost always wins jumping competitions. The one he didn't win is because he is full of quail shot.
