Answer:

Option B, They efficiently transport phloem sap throughout the plant body.

Explanation:

In the process of photosynthesis, sugar is produced in the leaves and is then transported to locations where sugar is required for growth. Sugar is transported through the phloem in a process called translocation.

The pressure flow model allows the movement of sugar through phloem sap. The water from xylem tissue moves into the phloem which creates high turgor pressure which cause bulk flow of sugar from its site of production (leaves) to site of requirement (pulp of fruits)

Thus, option B is correct.

Which of the following correctly describes the general trend in hominid evolution?
Papessa [141]
The correct answer is B.
According to the study of human evolution, the first individuals of the genus Homo evolved at approximately 7 million years ago. The general trend of their evolution included an increase of the skull (specifically the cranium) and subsequently the brain size. This, in turn, increased the brain capacity. In addition, hominids evolved to stand upright and walk with their two feet only, a phenomenon called bipedalism. Finally, they started developing and using tools.

What happens to the electron from glycosis and kreb cycle?
mixer [17]

Glycolysis occurs in the cytosol, but the Krebs cycle and electron transport chain occur inside the mitochondria. Electron carriers such as NADH produced during glycolysis and the Krebs cycle pass their electrons to the electron transport chain, which results in synthesis of a lot of ATP.
