Answer:

Total number of milkshakes sold on Monday = 300

Number of milkshakes without whipped cream = 90

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Adrienne adds whipped cream to 210 milk shakes which is 70% of the total milk shakes sold.

To find the total milkshakes sold.

Solution:

Let the total number of milkshakes sold on Monday be = x

Percentage of milkshakes with whipped cream added to them = 70%

Number of milk shakes with added whipped cream can be given as:

⇒ 70\% \textrm{ of the total number of milkshakes}

⇒ 70\% x

⇒ \frac{70}{100}x  [Representing percent in fraction form]

⇒ 0.7x  [evaluating in decimals]

We know that the number of milkshakes with whipped cream added to them = 210.

So, we have:

0.7x=210

Solving for x

Dividing both sides by  0.7

\frac{0.7x}{0.7}=\frac{210}{0.7}

∴ x=300

Thus, total number of milkshakes sold on Monday = 300

Number of milkshakes without whipped cream = 300-210= 90

Finding an Equation of a Tangent Line In Exercise, use implicit differentiation to find an equation of the tangent line to the g
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

y=\frac{4}{3}-\frac{x}{3e}

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation of tangent line of given function at (e,1) is found by implicitly differentiating the given function w.r.to x

y^{2}+ln(xy)=2\\\\y^{2}+ln(x)+ln(y)=2\\\\\frac{d}{dx}(y^{2}+ln(x)+ln(y))=\frac{d}{dx}(2)\\\\2y\frac{dy}{dx}+\frac{1}{x}+\frac{1}{y}\frac{dy}{dx}=0\\\\\frac{dy}{dx}(2y+\frac{1}{y})=-\frac{1}{x}\\\\\frac{dy}{dx}=-\frac{y}{x(2y^{2}+1)}\\\\at (e,1)\\\\\frac{dy}{dx}=-\frac{1}{e(2+1)}\\\\\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{1}{3e}

Equation of tangent line is

y-y₁=m(x-x₁)

at (e,1)

y-1=-\frac{1}{3e}(x-e)\\\\y=1-\frac{1}{3e}(x-e)\\\\y=1+\frac{1}{3}-\frac{x}{3e}\\\\y=\frac{4}{3}-\frac{x}{3e}\\

Graph the piecewise function<br>show how you got the function
Zolol [24]

(4). If we break down this piecewise function, we have 3 main expressions to deal with, 'h(x) = 5 if {x ≥ 4}' (represented by the green graph) 'h(x) = x if {0 ≤ x ≤ 4}' (represented by the blue graph) and 'h(x) = 1 / 2x + 2 if {x < 0}' (represented by the red graph).

Take a look at the attachment below for your graph of these 3 functions / expressions.

(5). For this part we want to determine the average rate of change of the function f(x) = 4x² - 5x - 8 over the interval [- 2,3]. Remember that to calculate average rate of change between the 2 points we use the following formula...

f(b) - f(a) / b - a,

f(3) = 4(3)² - 5(3) - 8 = 4(9) - 15 - 8 = 36 - 15 - 8 = 13,

f(- 2) = 4(- 2)² - 5(- 2) - 8 = 4(4) + 10 - 8 = 16 + 10 - 8 = 18

13 - 18 / 3 - (- 2) = - 5 / 5 = - 1

Therefore the average rate of change of the function f(x) = 4x² - 5x - 8 over the interval [- 2,3] will be - 1.

A plane left Chicago at 8 A.M. At 12 P.M., the plane landed in Los Angeles, which is 1,700 miles away.
Scilla [17]
First find the amount of time:
 12 pm - 8 am = 4 hours

now divide the total miles traveled by the amount of time travleed:

1700 miles / 4 hours = 425 miles per hour

In the figure, angle K measures 45 degrees. What is the measurement of angle C?
Delvig [45]

It is 45 because the triangle should be 180 degree and if K is 45 then J should be 45, too. We all know that the right triangle is 90 degree, so we add angle J and G, it is 135. Lastly, you subtract 180- 135=45.
