A. He is nervous that he will be angered to see Montague.  Shakespeare's famous tragedy has many characters that play key roles in different parts of the play. Benvolio is a character, who is one of the closest to Romeo and here, he is nervous about Romeo seeing his father.

Explanation:

He is trying make peace between the protagonist and his parents. The protagonist, son of Lord Montague lives away from them.

Here, he is trying to talk to Lord Montague and his wife who came to meet the protagonist and help him understand the consequences about his actions. The protagonist, being a person ignorant of these facts, cannot understand or even listen to what his parents are worried about.

He is the closest cousin, as mentioned by Shakespeare in the play, tries to mold and mend thoughts of the protagonist as per the norms followed by Montague family. He acts as a mediator between his cousin and his parents in this scene stating that he will try to know what he feels and know his plan. He does not want his closest mate to get into an argument with his parents, who are genuinely worried about him.
