Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency or AATD is a disorder that is a result of a liver or a lung disease. The onset of having lung problems are from 20 up to 50 years of age. There are symptoms such as wheezing,shortness of breath, chronic cough, allergies and chest colds. If a female patient has this disorder if biopsy in the lung is taken it would state a tissue damage then it might also be the female is suffering from a lung disease,may it be emphysema.
