Given :

AT&T charges $350 to get a plan with them, plus $60 per month.

T-Mobile charges a $275 initial fee, plus $80 per month.

To Find :

Write an equation or inequality that can be used to determine the number of months it would take for T-Mobile to cost the same or more than AT&T.

Solution :

Money-time relation of plan AT&T :

M_1 = 60x + 350

Money-time relation of plan T-Mobile :

M_2 = 80y + 275

( Here, x and y are number of months )

Let, after t months would take for T-Mobile to cost the same or more than AT&T.

So, M_2\ge M_1

80t+275 \ge  60t + 350\\\\20t \ge 350 - 275\\\\20t \ge 75\\\\t \ge 3.75

Hence, this is the required solution.

Three people P,Q and R contribute to a fund. provides 3/5 of the total,Q provides 2/3 of the reminder and R provides £8. Determi
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer:

a: £60

b: P = £36, Q = £24

Step-by-step explanation:

first find the total fraction contributed by P and Q:

3/5 + 2/3 of the remaining

3/5 = 9/15, the remainder of the fund is 6/15

so to add 2/3 of the remainder, we add 2/3 of 6 which is 4

9/15 + 4/15 = 13/15 so, in total P and Q contribute 13/15

this means that R contributes the rest which is 2/15 and we know he contributes £8, therefore 2/15 = £8 and 1/15 = £4

to find the total of the fund (15/15), we do 4 x 15 to get £60.

to find P's contribution (9/15), we do 4 x 9 to get £36.

to find Q's contribution (6/15), we do 4 x 6 to get £24.

hope this helps :)

yulyashka [42]

Answer:

Hello

The answer is  30% increase in texts since last month.

IF you feel any problem in understanding , do comment pls.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

X = last month sent texts

y = this month sent texts

First of all find the no. of increased texts,

by subtracting x from y

=> y-x= 7085- 5450

        = 1635

We want to find these 15 texts % with respect to 5450 texts

i.e.    1635/X

=0.30

for answer in % multiply with 100

i.e. 30%
