Answer:

0,5X + (-2), but you have to solve it... I give you the equation.

Step-by-step explanation:

In part A you have to find the equation of the line, so you do end - origin and you'll find m. I can only help you with the first one.

so:

(8,2) and (10,3)

(10-8,3-2) = (2,1)

V2/V1= 1/2= 0,5=m (slope of the line)

y= mx+n (change y, x and m with the ones above)

2= 8·0,5+n

2= 4+n

n= 2-4=-2

the equation is: 0,5X + (-2) and then you just have to change x in both equations,  the second one is the h(x) adn it will give you the answer to A.

I hope I'm being helpful..!!!

4. The cube root parent function is vertically stretched by a factor of 3, reflected in the x-axis,
Mademuasel [1]

Using translation concepts, it is found that the equation that represents the new function is:

  • y = -3\sqrt[3]{x} - 8

The cube root parent function is given by:

y = \sqrt[3]{x}

<h3>Translation:</h3>

The function goes through these following translations:

  • Vertically stretched by a factor of 3, that is, it is multiplied by 3, hence y = 3\sqrt[3]{x}.
  • Reflected over the x-axis, that is, it is multiplied by -1, hence y = -3\sqrt[3]{x}.
  • Translated 8 units down, that is, 8 is subtracted from the function, hence y = -3\sqrt[3]{x} - 8.

Then, the equation is:

  • y = -3\sqrt[3]{x} - 8

Anarel [89]

Answer:

Quadrant 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer is quadrant two because the answer is in the form of -x,y. When the x is negative and the y is positive, it is always going to be in quadrant 2. As you can see in the image below, quadrant 1 is going to be all positive, quadrant two is going to be negative then positive, quadrant three is going to be all negative, and quadrant 4 is going to be positive then negative. Use this as a guide for the rest of your question. I hope this helps!
