Picture the synthesis of a polymer formed from the following monomers. Each monomer contains 2 carbon (C) atoms, 6 hydrogen (H)

atoms, and 1 oxygen (O) atom; each monomer has the formula C2H6O. What is the formula of the molecule formed after connecting three of these monomers?

Explanation:

A monomer is defined as the smallest unit that is present in a polymer.

As it is given that chemical formula of monomer is C_{2}H_{6}O. So, when three units of these monomers combine together then it will be 3C_{2}H_{6}O.

Hence, upon combination of three monomer units of C_{2}H_{6}O, the chemical formula of the molecule formed after connecting three of these monomers is C_{6}H_{18}O_{3}

\al(s) + 3agno3(aq) → al(no3)3(aq) + 3ag(s) this equation represents which type of chemical reaction?
Savatey [412]
Al(s)  + 2AgNO3(aq) = Al(NO3)3(aq) + 3 Ag (s)

is a  single  replacement reaction

A single replacement reaction is a type of chemical reaction were element react with a compound and the element take place of another element in that compound. In the reaction above Aluminium (Al) take the place of silver (Ag) from it compound.that is AgNO3. single replacement reaction is possible because aluminium is in high in reactivity series as compared to silver.

What is the acceleration of an object if it goes from a velocity of +25 m/s to rest in 5.0 seconds?
Amanda [17]
Hello there!

The correct answer is B

Remember that acceleration is the change in velocity divided by the change in time.

So, what we need to do here is take +25 divide it by 5.0, which equals to 5

So yeah, that's how we got the acceleration :)

I hope this helps!

Good luck with your Science studies!

Hydrogen is manufactured on an industrial scale by this sequence of reactions:
UNO [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

CH₄ +  H₂O(g)    ⇒ CO(g)+3H2(g)

Equilibrium constant

K₁ = [CO][H₂]³ / [CH₄][H₂O]

CO(g)+H₂O(g) ⇒ CO₂(g) + H₂(g)

Equilibrium constant

K₂ =  [CO₂][H₂] / [CO][H₂O]

CH₄(g)+2H₂O(g)  ⇒  CO₂(g)+4H₂(g)

Equilibrium constant

K =   [CO₂][H₂]⁴ /[CH₄][H₂O]²

=  [CO][H₂]³ / [CH₄][H₂O] X [CO₂][H₂] / [CO][H₂O]

K₁ x K₂

K = K₁ x K₂

5. How does the abundance of isotopes of an element relate to its average atomic mass?
alukav5142 [94]
The average atomic mass of an element is the mass you see on a periodic table for that element. It is a weighted average of all the isotopes for that element based on the percentage of how much of an element is a specific isotope and the mass of each isotope. If an element has an abundance of isotopes, the isotopes with the highest and lowest masses may be more significantly different than the average atomic mass for elements with fewer isotopes.
