So (-4)= 4 because that is the opposite of that number. So -12 is the opposite of 12 but you use 12 instead. So 4-12=8

Find tan 0 where 0 is the angle shown
Anika [276]

Answer:

Because tan represents \frac{opposite}{adjacent} from θ (theta), the equation should be tan0=\frac{15}{x}. Let's leave this equation like that. Now, we need to find the unknown side length, x. We need to use Pythagorean Theorem, because we're given the other two side lengths. The equation should be x^{2}+15^{2}=17^{2}. X should equal ±8 or 8, because a side length can't be a negative value. Now, we can plug in 8 into the equation to get tan0=\frac{15}{8}.

Multiply and simplify the following products. V stands for radical.
Reptile [31]

Answer:

(1) 9

(2) \sqrt{6}

(3) 6(\sqrt{6})

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question,

(1) (\sqrt{9})²

    Applyin the law of multiplication of surds

   (\sqrt{9})²  = (

(2)  (\sqrt{2})× (\sqrt{3}) =

   Also applying the the law of multiplication of surd

   (\sqrt{2\\})×(\sqrt{3}) =  (\sqrt{6}) ( This is an irational answer)

   ∴ (\sqrt{2})×(\sqrt{3})  = \sqrt{6}

 (3) 2(\sqrt{2})×3(\sqrt{3})

     Also applying the law of multiplication of surds i.e Multiply surds to     surds and whole number to whole number

     = 2×3×(\sqrt{2})×(\sqrt{3})

       6×(\sqrt{6}) = 6(
