Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

Firstly, we will need to calculate the slope of the line formed by joining the coordinates.

The slope of that line would be : m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

= (5 - 1)/(4 - 2) = 4/2 = 2

The slope of the line joining the coordinates is 2. Since the other line is parallel to this, it simply means the slope of the second line is 2. This is because of two lines are parallel, they will have the same slope.

Answer:

The slope is m = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the slope formula:

Geometry math question no Guessing and Please show work
sergiy2304 [10]

the answer is D.

I dont know how to add work for a question like this, however, I know how I'd show work....

Draw a graph and stick a point in the IV quadrant and label it "original". Then next to it, draw another graph and stick a point in the III quadrant and label it "reflection"

TIP: if you do that, make sure the points are in the same location in each quadrant

Complete the square f(x) = x^2 + 4x - 8

PLZ help me ;c
Semenov [28]
Ok, first group x terms
f(x)=(x²+4x)-8
factor out quadratic coefient (no need but that's the step)
f(x)=1(x²+4x)-8
take 1/2 of the linear coefient and square it
4/2=2, (2)²=4
add positive and negative of it insides the parenthasees
f(x)=1(x²+4x+4-4)-8
factor perfect square
f(x)=1((x+2)²-4)-8
distribute
f(x)=1(x+2)²-4-8
f(x)=1(x+2)²-12
and, now if we wanted to find the x intercepts where f(x)=0 then
0=1(x+2)²-12
12=(x+2)²
+/-2√3=x+2
-2+/-2√3=x

x=-2+2√3 or -2-2√3
that is where the x intercept are

and completed square form is
f(x)=(x+2)²-12

Pinky put her wet clothes inside the room for drying. But her mom told her to put it under the sun. Give reason why her mom told
lara31 [8.8K]

1. sun gives warmth and the clothes will dry faster

2. the water from the clothes evaporates into the air -> air is moist -> more chance of mold in the room
