The cornea is a transparent membrane which bends or retracts the light to focus the light through the pupil
The second refraction occurs in the lens which help focus the image on the retina
The retina is light sensitive cells that lines the inside of your eyes it contains cells called rods and cones. Rods are sensitive and detect dim light while cones detect brighter light and colors

The cornea, pupil, iris, lens, and retina are the parts of the eye that interact with visible light. The cornea is at the front of the eye and is transparent, and curved. The cornea acts as a protective cover for the pupil and the iris. The cornea is where reflecting light rays first come into the eye. The cornea's curved surface helps focus the light rays that enter the eye. Then the lens of your eye, which is behind the pupil and iris, refracts the light that enters the eye to focus it onto the retina. The retina, on the back of the eye, collects the focused and refracted light. The retina has two types of light sensitive cells, rods and cones. The rods and cones are responsible for producing the nerve impulses sent to the brain. Cones react to colors and the rods react to light in general. These enable the eyes to interpret the color, and dimensions of objects.

The probability of having the combination of one head and one tail when flipping two coins is _____.
Nana76 [90]
50%
Assuming that the coins are fair and each have a 50% chance of head or tails there are 4 equally likely combinations that can occur: first coin is a head and second is a head, first a head and second a tail, first a tail and second a head, first a tail and second a tail. Each is as likely, 25%. The four choices are HH, HT, TH, TT, and you can see that two of them (HT, TH) fulfill having one head and one tail, giving you 25% +25% making is 50%.

Elis [28]

Answer:

Compact and spongy bone

Explanation: Compact and spongy bone develops directly from sheets of mesenchymal (undifferentiated) connective tissue. The flat bones of the face, most of the cranial bones, and the clavicles (collarbones) are formed via intramembranous ossification.

Which property results from the crystal lattice structure of ionic compounds? A. low melting point B. good electrical conductivi
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

C.) crystalline solids

Explanation:

The solid materials may be crystalline or amorphous. The concept of crystal structure is related to the organization of atoms in a geometrical form. Crystalline structures are present in various materials, where atoms distributed within their structure form a network called the crystalline lattice. Therefore, crystalline structures have salts, metals and most minerals. Crystalline structures are formed by unit cells that are their basic unit, as they constitute the smallest set of associated atoms found in a crystalline structure.

The molecules of the crystalline structures can have two types of bonds, the directional ones, which include the covalent and dipole dipole and the non-directional ones where the metallic, ionic, van der Walls bonds. When formed by ionic compounds, these crystalline structures can result in crystalline solids.
