A student's work to distribute and simplify a radical is shown below. Select the statement which best applies to the sample math

ematical work.given (-5√20+√3)*(2+√3), i first distribute to get the expression -10√20-5√60+2√3+√9, which i can simplify to -40√5-20√15+2√3+3 for an answer.Which simplifies to 10 as the answer?
A. The student did not properly distribute the radicals.
B. The student did not properly combine the radicals.
C. The student did not properly simplify the radical at the end.

(-5\sqrt{20} + \sqrt{3}) * (2 + \sqrt{3}) =
-10\sqrt{20} - 5\sqrt{60} +2\sqrt{3} + \sqrt{9} =

\sqrt{20}  =  \sqrt{ 2^{2}*5 }  = 2 \sqrt{5}

\sqrt{60} =  \sqrt{ 2^{2} * 3 * 5 } = 2 \sqrt{15}

The problem is the student square root wrongly

The final results is:

-20\sqrt{5} - 10\sqrt{15} + 2 \sqrt{3} +3

The right answer for the question above is:
C. <span>C. The student did not properly simplify the radical at the end.</span>

Someone help I don't know this trig question
solong [7]

Answer:

Bill is 9.80 km apart from Concert

Step-by-step explanation:

It's given in the question,

m∠B = 75°

m∠C = 45°

By triangle sum theorem,

m∠A + m∠B + m∠C = 180°

m∠A + 75° + 45° = 180°

m∠A = 180° - 120°

m∠A = 60°

By sine rule,

\frac{\text{sin}(\angle A)}{BC}=\frac{\text{sin}(\angle C)}{AB}

\frac{\text{sin}(60)}{BC}=\frac{\text{sin}(45)}{8}

BC = \frac{8\text{sin}(60)}{\text{sin}(45)}

     = 9.80 km

Therefore, Bill is 9.80 km apart from Concert.

Your parents took your family out to dinner. Your parents wanted to give the waiter a 15% tip. If the total amount of the dinner
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

$48.30

Step-by-step explanation:

If the dinner was $42.00 and they wanted to give a 15% tip, then to find that start by multiplying 42 by 0.15

42.00 x 0.15 = 6.3

now add $6.30 to $42.00

42 + 6.3 = 48.3

If c(x)=5/x-2 and d(x)=x+3 what is the domain of (cd)(x)?. . And, if f(x)=7+4x and g(x)=1/2x, what is the value of (f/g)(5)?
Vesna [10]
1. The value of (cd)(x) is equal to the product of c(x) and d(x) which is equal to,
                                         5(x + 3) / (x - 2)
The function can take all real numbers except 2 because that would make the denominator 0.

2. To answer, substitute first 5 to the given functions,
                      f(x) = 7 + 4x = 7 + 4(5) = 27
                      g(x) = 1/2x = 1 / (2)(5) = 1/10
Dividing 27 by 1/10 is 270.
