(-5\sqrt{20} + \sqrt{3}) * (2 + \sqrt{3}) =
-10\sqrt{20} - 5\sqrt{60} +2\sqrt{3} + \sqrt{9} =

\sqrt{20}  =  \sqrt{ 2^{2}*5 }  = 2 \sqrt{5}

\sqrt{60} =  \sqrt{ 2^{2} * 3 * 5 } = 2 \sqrt{15}

The problem is the student square root wrongly

The final results is:

-20\sqrt{5} - 10\sqrt{15} + 2 \sqrt{3} +3

The right answer for the question above is:
C. <span>C. The student did not properly simplify the radical at the end.</span>

A data set consists of the data given below plus one more data point. When the additional point is included in the data set the
belka [17]

Answer:

Value of additional data point is 31.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the following data set:

34, 18, 18, 40, 11, 22, 30, 25, 19, 21, 45 34, 18, 18, 40, 11, 22, 30, 25, 19, 21, 45

Formula:

Mean = \displaystyle\frac{\text{Sum of all observations}}{\text{Total number of observation}}

Mean =\displaystyle\frac{487}{20} = 24.35

The old mean is 24.35

A new data was added in the data. The new mean is 24.667

We have to find the value of additional point.

Let x be the added point in the data set.

Thus, we can write:

24.667 = \displaystyle\frac{487+x}{21}\\\\x = 21(24.667)-487 = 31.007 \approx 31

Thus, value of additional data point is 31

what is the average when you add 122.99%, 108.46% and 102.65%? I don't know how to add percentages.
Luba_88 [7]

Answer:

111.33667

Step-by-step explanation:

You add percentages just like you would any other number.

122.9%   +   108.46%  +   102.65% = 334.01%

334.01%/3 = 111.33667
