The correct answer is C) letting peasants run their own farms leased from the government.

All of the following are aspects of Gorbachev's plan to restructure the economy, EXCEPT letting peasants run their own farms leased from the government.

We are talking about the changing times during the tenure of Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. This leader came up with two important concepts to transform the Soviet Union: glasnost and perestroika. Glasnost stands for "transparency." Gorbachev wanted to give the citizens of the USSR more liberties and make the actions of the government more transparent. The other term is perestroika that stands for "restructure." He also wanted to restructure the economy of the Soviet Union and accepeted foreign investors.

why might a command-and-control policy that forbids music to be played above a certain decibel level lead to an inefficient outc
photoshop1234 [79]

The propagation of noise that has varying impacts on the activity of human or animal life, the majority of which are harmful to some degree is referred to as noise pollution.

Other names for noise pollution include environmental noise or sound pollution.

Machines, modes of transportation, and systems of propagation are the primary contributors to ambient noise in outdoor environments around the world.

What is the decibel level?

Generally, A command-and-control policy is a policy implemented by the government that mandates or prohibits certain actions.

In this scenario, the landlord can stipulate in the rules that music cannot be played at a decibel level that is more than a specified threshold.

It's possible that this is wasteful since Felix playing his music loudly while Larry is not at home won't create any problems.

Write a four-paragraph argument for or against the usefulness of the feudalist structure. Your assigned audience is a modern bus
MAVERICK [17]

Feudalism began with people joining together in response to problems like these, danger from foreign invaders, the lack of a common currency or trade, and food shortages. So therefore they created a "system" called the Feudal System that would help them.

In most of medieval Europe, society was dependent on the feudal system, which was when a king or lord ruled large areas of land. To protect his land from attacks, the king gave parts of it to local lords, who were called vassals. In return, his vassals promised to fight to defend the king's land. If people wanted safety and defense, they had to live in a manor. People in the middle ages created small communities around a king or a lord. Most people lived in a manor, which consisted of a castle, a church, a village, a mill, and the surrounding farmland. These manors were isolated with huge walls, with rare visits from outsiders like merchants. Each manor was self-sufficient, which means that they made everything them selves, like food, clothes, and weapons. Self-sufficiency was very important in these days, because if they weren't able to grow food for them selves, there was no other way for them to get it.

The feudal system worked fine, because everyone had what they wanted and needed such as protection and food. For a peasant it was a very harsh life, if they were born there, they would probably stay there their whole life. Peasants had no rights to do anything except working for their lord, they paid very much for the right to live and grow crops on the lord's land.

Which statement best describes the role of government according to the Declaration of Independence?
zavuch27 [327]

Answer:

Option A

Explanation:

The main very essence of Government is to represent the people, its citizens interest and in the same process, it could possible expand and glorify the state. I choose option A because every government will expand and want to glorify its state from its previous status based on its people interest.

All other options can happen under this option, it can create an avenue to protect the unalienable right of individual and all citizens, it can also Protect the rights and privileges not of his majesty the king but the citizens and lastly, based on the options, it promotes the general welfare of the community, states by taking steps toward social equality. all this options are part of the obligation of a government. but the one that comprise of all is option A is the government is to expand and glorify the state because it will be doing this in the best interest of the people and the only people that can glorify the work of the government is the people.

Which one of these is NOT a strength of the Articles of Confederation?
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

your answer would be a congress could not sign treaties. It's in your explanation says Congress had no power to Levy taxes or regulate trade without federal court system executive leaders that one was not a strength of the Articles of the Confederation

Explanation:

There were more weaknesses than strengths under the Articles of Confederation. The lack of power given to the Continental Congress strangled the federal government. The Articles gave Congress the power to pass laws but no power to enforce those laws. If a state did not support a federal law, that state could simply ignore it. Congress had no power to levy taxes or regulate trade. Without a federal court system or executive leader, there would be no way to enforce these laws, either. Amending the Articles of Confederation would also require a unanimous decision, which would be extremely difficult.
