Answer:

For definite motion in all links, two inputs to any 2 links are required

Explanation:

According to Grubler's equation

F = 3(n-1) - 2l - h

where

h= number of higherr pairs ;

l = number of lower joints   ;

n = number of links             ;

F = Degree of freedom       ;

we have ,

n=5 ; l=5 ; h=0

By putting values we get,

F = 3(5-1) - 2*5 - 0

F = 12-10-0

F = 2

So, in order to yield definite motions in all links 2 inputs in 2 links are required.

topjm [15]

Answer:

f = 0.05Hz

Explanation:

Look at the graph. You can see that the wave complete one cycle in 20 seconds, so we can say that the period is 20s.

T = 20

frequency is just the inverse the period so

f = 1/T = 1/20 = 0.05Hz

For a fluid with a Prandtl Number of 1000.0, the hydrodynamic layer is thinner than the thermal boundary layers. a) True b) Fals
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

(b)False

Explanation:

Given:

 Prandtl number(Pr) =1000.

We know that   Pr=\dfrac{\nu }{\alpha }

  Where \nu is the molecular diffusivity of momentum

             \alpha is the molecular diffusivity of heat.

 Prandtl number(Pr) can also be defined as

    Pr=\left (\dfrac{\delta }{\delta _t}\right )^3

Where \delta is the hydrodynamic boundary layer thickness and \delta_t is the thermal boundary layer thickness.

So if Pr>1 then hydrodynamic boundary layer thickness will be greater than thermal boundary layer thickness.

In given question Pr>1 so  hydrodynamic boundary layer thickness will be greater than thermal boundary layer thickness.

So hydrodynamic layer will be thicker than the thermal boundary layer.
