Expressing a quadratic equation as the product of two binomials is the same thing as factoring.
The answer would be (x+3)(x-8) because if you multiply it out, x times x is x^2, -8x+3x is -5x, and -8 times 3 is -24.
To multiply is out, you FOIL, or muliply the First terms in the two binomials (the x's), the the Outer terms (the x and the -8), then the Inner terms (the 3 and the x), and finally the Last terms (the 3 and the -8).so it's (x-8)(x+3)

Division of fractions 12/15 divided by 1/5
zimovet [89]
12/15÷1/5

when dividing fractions, all you have to do is multiply the first number by the second number's reciprocal
(reciprocal is denominator over numerator)

12/15÷1/5
12/15×5/1

remember when multiplying fractions it's the the two numerators multiplied together over the two denominators multiplied

12/15×5/1
60/15

If the trapezoid on the grid below is translated by using the rule (x,y)-> (x-4,y-3) what will be the coordinates of B’?
vesna_86 [32]

Answer:

B'(3, 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

Rule for the translation of a point (x, y) by 'h' units left and 'k' units upwards,

(x, y) → (x - h, y + k)

If h = 4 and k = 3,

(x, y)\rightarrow(x-4,y+3)

Following this rule coordinates of the image point of B will be,

B(7, 2) → B'(7 - 4, 2 + 3)

           → B'(3, 5)

Therefore, coordinates of the image point B' will be,

B'(3, 5)
