Do you think that talking about race and racial injustice, (either past and/or present) is necessary in order to promote change

and awareness, or do you think that bringing up past and/or present injustices actually further increases the division and tension between different groups in society? Do you think that modern forms of institutional racism can correct themselves over time by not talking about racial difference, or is the conversation necessary in order to promote change? Finally, do you personally find it difficult to talk about the society-wide, macro-level group differences, when you can see many individual examples of someone at work or school working hard and succeeding, regardless of race? In other words, do you find it difficult to see these trends beyond your own personal experiences and interactions?

Not gonna answer fully as if I were answering the question, but here are some ideas that might help.
1. I think it can do a bit of both. I’d like to say it does more good but I can see how it could create tension still.
2. For this one change needs to be talked about. This is probably a bad comparison but would the fridge ever get cleaned if you never told the person with that job to do so?
3. Up to you, I get where the question is going but still unclearish

Why was it so difficult for the united states to remain neutral in the war between Great Britain and France
GaryK [48]

The Proclamation of Neutrality of 1793 was very difficult for the United States in that 1. America recently had been part of GB; 2. American had some pretty conflicted feelings towards GB as they had just fought a bloody war of revolution against them 3. France had helped the US fight the bloody war against GB. but 4. America was still fairly British or British influenced.

From their reactions, what are both Paul and Mitchell most concerned with right after the accident? a) whether Mitchell is injur
ivolga24 [154]

Answer: C (Whether Ghost Wind is injured).

This question is birthed from Mildred D Taylor's "The Land" novel.

Below is an excerpt that helps answer this question.

<em />

<em>The way Ghost Wind had pulled back, I feared a ligament might be torn or even his leg fractured. </em>

<em> "</em><em>He all right?</em><em>" asked Mitchell, on his feet now. </em>

<em> Without looking at him, I shook my head. "Don't know. We got to get him back to the barn." </em>

<em> "</em><em>Your daddy's gonna kill me</em><em>," he said solemnly, </em><em>yet with no fear in his voice</em><em>, just a voice of matter of fact. "Course now, my daddy get t' me first, he'll do it. Don't blame him this time if he do, though, 'cause he's gonna lose his job sure once your daddy see that horse."</em>

Immediately after the accident, Mitchell asked if Ghost Wind was alright despite he himself having been on the ground moments before. They definitely weren't concerned about Mitchell (ruling out options A and D). As a matter of fact, Mitchell had made peace with the fact that Paul's dad will kill him. Paul didn't care if he would be punished. He just wanted to get Ghost wind back to the barn (ruling out option B).

Therefore, their most concern was whether Ghostwind had injured.
