All organism use DNA to pass information. Genetic information is stored in the sequence of bases along a nucleic acid chain (DNA). these base pairs provide a mechanism for copying the genetic information in an existing nucleic acid chain to form a new chain

If the elephants were to disappear  than the population of acacia trees will increase and the Savannas will be converted from grasslands to woodlands. It will lead to the disturbance of diversity in Savannas.
