In a factory, the chance that a certain machine works without overheating in the morning is 50%. If it runs smoothly all morning

, then there is an 85% chance that it will continue for the rest of the day and a 15% chance that it will stop due to overheating. What is the probability that on a given day it will work in the morning and overheat later on?

The probability that the machine works in the morning is 50%.  This means that out of 100 times it works, it will not overheat 50 times.

The probability that the overheats late if it worked  in the morning is 15%. this means that 15% our of the 50 times in the morning when it worked will satisfy this condition, which is 7.5 - so if the machine runs 100 times, it will overheat only in the evening 7.5 times.

The probability that it will overheat only in the evening is 7.5%!

Each is a half of an apple, and there are 8 apples.

A factor is what you multiply.

So since there are 8 halves, you would do 8 x 1/2.

The answer to that equation is 4.

So that's how you get your answer, I hope this helps!

I’ll explain part A and you can apply it to the other parts. The functions f(x), g(x), and m(x) are all equivalent to the given polynomials. So when it asks for f(x) + [g(x) - m(x)] you plug them in. The answer to Part A is 3x^2 +5x - z + [5x^2-3x+z - 2x^2 - 2x]. Combine the like terms (3x^2+5x^2-2x^2 = 6x^2 (because 3+5-2=6)) and so on until you’ve simplified it as much as possible!

Write the equation of the line with the given slope and y-intercept. slope = 1 2 y-intercept = 7 A) y = 7x + 1 2 B) y = 1 2 x +
Setler [38]
B. y=12x+7

Explanation

The slope is 12; slope=m
The yint is 7; yint=b

The equation of a line is set up as so

y=mx+b

Now we just need to replace the variables with the numbers

y=12x+7
