No i don't think so; this is because in a particular energy pyramid, no additional energy enters the system, and energy is lost to the environment at energy level. An energy pyramid is the pyramid that shows the availability of energy that connects the consumers with the decomposers shows the energy transfer between trophic levels. It shows that less and less food and energy is available as you go from the base to the top of the pyramid.

Which plant system is affected when xylem tissue is removed
Gennadij [26K]
The answer is most likely "vascular system". Xylem tissue is a part of a plant's vascular system. Which is mostly responsiple for transportation (of water, food etc.) in a plant. The vascular system of plants is made of two tissues. One is Xylem and the other is Phloem. Phloem transports food from leaves to all other parts of the plant. And Xylem transports water and minerals (which are dissolved in the water) to the leaves.

So if you remove the <u>Xylem</u> tissue from a plant, its vascular system will be affected.

A population of wild-flowers was scored for flower color. There were 302 blue (BB) plants, 1857 violet (BR) plants and 811 red (
Paul [167]

Answer:

frequency of the blue (B) allele = 0.4142

frequency of the red (R) allele = 0.5858

The number of blue plants expected is 509.652

The number of red plants expected is 1019.304

The anticipated number of violet plants is 1441.341

Calculated chi square value

= 84.5320 + 42.5688 + 119.8692\\= 246.97

Explanation:

Frequency of blue allele is

Frequency of blue allele is equal to sum of frequency of BB and half of frequency of BR

\frac{302}{2970} + \frac{1}{2} \frac{1857}{2970} \\= 0.1016 + 0.3126\\= 0.4142

Frequency of other allele

1- 0.4142\\= 0.5858

Chi Square test

See the attached file

The number of blue plants expected is 509.652

The number of red plants expected is 1019.304

The anticipated number of violet plants is 1441.341

Calculated chi square value

= 84.5320 + 42.5688 + 119.8692\\= 246.97
