Answer:

03%

Step-by-step explanation:

In this situation Mickey should have drew first 7 cards that are not diamond and then on the 8th attempt she should draw an ace.

Let A be the event of drawing 7 cards which are not diamond and B the event of drawing an ace card. therefore required probability is P(A∩B)=P(A)*P(B)

Now, there are 13 diamonds and 39 other cards. Hence,

P(A)=(\frac{39}{52})⁷=0.1335

After drawing 7 non-diamond cards, the 8th card must be a diamond.Hence,

P(B)=\frac{13}{52}=0.25

Hence, P(A∩B)=P(A)*P(B)=0.1335*0.25=0.033(approximately 0.03,i.e. 3%)

Therefore probability that Mickey will draw her first diamond on the 8th

attempt is 3%

Axis of symmetry: x=4; points: (3,-2), (6,-26); opening downward
Andru [333]
Vertex form is
y=a(x-h)^2+k
vertex is (h,k)
axis of symmetry is x=4, therfor h=4
y=a(x-4)^2+k

we have some points
(3,-2) and (6,-26)
input and solve for a and k

(3,-2)
-2=a(3-4)^2+k
-2=a(-1)^2+k
-2=a(1)+k
-2=a+k

(6,-26)
-26=a(6-4)^2+k
-26=a(2)^2+k
-26=a(4)+k
-26=4a+k

we have

-2=a+k
-26=4a+k
multiply first equation by -1 and add to second

2=-a-k
-26=4a+k +
-24=3a+0k

-24=3a
divide both sides by 3
-8=a

-2=a+k
-2=-8+k
add 8 to both sides
6=k

the equation is
y=-8(x-4)^2+6

What is 3 times 7 plus 5 minus 2 subtracted by 3 plus y y equals 106
Rashid [163]

Answer:

127

Step-by-step explanation:

3 x 7 + 5 - 2 -  3 + y

y = 106

3x7 = 21

21 + 5 = 26

26 - 2 = 24

24 - 3 = 21

21 + 106 = 127

Which is the diameter of a rectangle whose circumference is 13653 cm and one side is 5431 cm
leonid [27]

Answer:

See below

Step-by-step explanation:

If by circumference you meant perimeter and diameter you mean length, then here is my answer.

Perimeter = 2L+ 2W

13653= 2*L + 2*5431

13653= 2L + 10862     Subtract 10862 from both sides

2791= 2L Divide by 2

L= 1395.5

The diameter is 1395.5
